The Energy Smackdown is looking to expand its carbon-reduction program to Arlington, Cambridge, and Medford.

The Energy Smackdown, a community-based reality contest and project of the BrainShift Foundation, is looking to expand its carbon-reduction program to Arlington, Cambridge, and Medford, MA. Using various energy-saving techniques, participating households will reduce their own energy consumption as well as the energy consumption of others in the community. In doing so, participants engage the public on the critical issue of climate change and what citizens can to do to reduce their own energy consumption.
The Energy Smackdown challenges and supports participating individuals, households, and organizations to reduce their carbon footprint and invite others to do the same. With support from local governments, businesses, and non-profits, the adventures of selected team members will be documented for broadcast on local cable TV and on webcasts.
QUALIFICATIONS: You must live in Arlington, Cambridge, or Medford, complete an application (info<AT>energysmackdown.com), and agree to the terms of use. All participants will receive a comprehensive home energy evaluation, free advice from energy experts, savings in utility and travel bills, and prizes contributed by local businesses.
