The Advanced Biofuels Task Force initiated by the Patrick Administration has begun hearings, taking testimony on ways to promote the development of an advanced biofuels industry in Massachusetts.
MCAN and other members of the Mass. Climate Coalition testified at the first hearing on Thursday, January 17th. The group's testimony centered on the need for a "Low Carbon Fuel Standard"; and said that Massachusetts should join California and focus on requiring low-carbon results rather than picking technological winners and losers, a difficult task that governments are usually ill-equipped to do.
